America it hurts me to believe our history is based on slavery oppression of all those less fortunate and documents of events well cut to fit if were really so proud of what we’ve done why do we treat some here less than human under a lie that is dictated through time in a disguise that everthing is finally safe and sound here down within the good old boys and redneck Americans waving old flags but they don’t understand that in the past there’s no room for a future where all shallow flows society a nightmare comes to mind where I believed we’d share an equal life until I opened my eyes and realized a dream is shit when your vision’s subsidized twenty five years yet I shed the same gasoline tears I’ve cried over the flame burning bright in most eyes would you believe somebody here wants me dead and for nothing except I’m not quite exactly white in a place where bigots love to fight I’m classified and inhuman in the ignorant minds that wasted the days of their lives where all shallow flows so open your eyes and take a good look at me from sea to shining closed minded sea your sticks and stones will break my bones yes indeed but that’s not what’s been killing me
